Döner Konig

Ok so by now you should know that love the Döner...but this Döner i could not even finish. I should have known something was wrong when I saw that they were putting the döner meat into a MICROWAVE! It was a sin! I thought that I was going to die a little. Well I did die a little...inside. Nicole was surprised when I was unable to finish it and so was the Burger King dude when I threw it away. The only good thing about the Döner was that I saw Slipknot after I tried to eat it, but those two things are not related at all. There is no picture, I was too ashamed to take one. This is also a chain stand. Iam not sure if this is just at this place or if this is a review on the rest. I'll try another Döner Konig before I finalize my review on it.

Schwedenplatz

The döner kebab at Schwedenplatz is okay. Sometimes they toast the bread until it is rock hard. That is never fun. The sauce they have is REALLY spicy, so if you are not in the mood for your tongue to be on fire, but still want some good flavor, then ask them to hold the spicy sauce and instead shake some of the crushed red pepper stuff on it; it usually gets the job done. This kebab stand is part of a chain that has stands all over the city. Basically, if you eat at one, you've eaten at them all. Maybe. This is also Pat's favorite döner in Vienna, so far.

In the photo, the kebab stand is located directly behind that hot dog stand. Watch out for the wasted drunkards falling down and knocking over the tall metal tables.

Until next time xoxoxo

Bali Döner Kebab

Is only the best döner kebab that the world has to offer. It is located in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany and is run by some of the coolest döner people ever. I want to kidnap them and take them to the States where they can introduce everyone to the orgy of flavor that is Bali döner kebab! The meat is always freshly made, and the bread is toasted perfectly. The meat has some sort of seasoning or spice on it that makes it absolutely delectable, and there is always the perfect amount of vegetables and sauce that create a harmony of love in your mouth. There is really no accurate way to describe it - you just have to try it! So get your ass over to SHA, pronto.

4th District

Weltmeisterkebab- This stand is located at one of the many entrances to Südtriolerplatz. I really like this place. They have homemade bread and the meat is good. In my opinion, homemade bread is just better than the rest. The reason for this is because it shows time and effort that has been put in the kebab as a whole. I am not saying that non-homemade bread is not good, but like a gift, its the thought that counts. The meat is chicken based...which means that it is 100% chicken. The veggies are fresh, and the sauce is a garlic sauce.

Overall- I really like this place, its cheap, good, and close to my place of sleep.

If you would like to add to our döner quest, just email.

Like always, let the orgy of flavor continue!

Vienna's Next Top Kebab Volume 1, Issue 1

Welcome to an epic quest set forth by the men seen here. We are on a quest to find the best Doner Kebab in all of Vienna. It will not be easy, short, or healthy. We will rate kebabs based on a number of criteria.

1. Meat- The meat the basis of much of the flavor of the doner, as well as an altogether indicator of the quality of the kebab.

2. Bread - Bread is the cornerstone of the kebab. The importance of good bread cannot be underestimated. Freshness, as well as its taste and texture are key elements in the judging of the aforementioned kebab.

3. Sauce - The sauce, in combination with the meat and veggies can either enhance, or destroy the taste of the doner kebab. Whether it is yogurt sauce or spicy sauce, both are equally important.

4. Kebab as a whole - This rating will determine our overall judgment of the Kebab. The rating will be based on the expertise of Dr. Dominic Baldi ph.D. in Doner Kebabs, Mr. Pat Schacherer, and Mr. Anadin Tokmic

May the quest begin..........
